Historical Walking Tour App
Our story of Main Street starts downtown on West Mill
Street. To learn more about Peninsula and its historic
sites, visit our Peninsula Historical Walking Tour app or
scan the QR-code below.
This app, available on all web-enabled smart phones and
tablet devices with a full browser, will guide your walk
through the heart of Peninsula’s Historic District. The 46
sites located on the tour provide historical, architectural,
anecdotal and pictorial information about Peninsula’s
Historic Heritage.
Sponsored by Peninsula Area Chamber of Commerce with
funding support through Akron/Summit Convention & Visitors
Bureau’s Partnerships in Motion Destination Development
Grant Program, the Peninsula Foundation and Cuyahoga
Valley National Park.
Located in the beautiful Cuyahoga Valley, nestled between
Cleveland and Akron, Peninsula was carved out of the
wilderness, much of its heritage flowing from the Ohio
& Erie Canal.
