*Slither through Peninsula, seek out pythons and learn the story of the Peninsula Python! Come meet “Little Big Girl”, a 15 foot python at the Boston Township Hall, slide in all the stores and find more python activities? Don’t forget to stop by the museum to learn the real story of the Peninsula Python. If you live in town, you are invited to decorate your yard in python fashion.

*Build a Python! Stop by the Boston Township Hall from 10 am until 4 pm and help us design the largest python ever! Pick out your python piece, design your section and add on to the slithering snake! Sssssee you there!

*Python Pandemonium!
Where in Peninsula is the python??? Find out at the Cuyahoga Valley Historical Museum from 11 am to 4 pm. Learn about the real history of the Peninsula Python in our exhibit and join the Python Posse by playing a game of Peninsula Python Pandemonium and color your own python. Win prizes and enjoy some squirmy treats!

The story of the Peninsula Python is told in Limerick Style in the book
The Peninsula Python written by George Hoy with illustrations by George Hoy and
Honore Guilbeau Cooke. This delightful book is available at The Downtown Emporium and The Inn at Brandywine Falls where George and Kathi Hoy open their doors to guests at their bed and breakfast.

Plein Air Competition Exhibit, Peninsula Art Academy
Stop in at Peninsula Art Academy to vote for People’s Choice in Peninsula’s 4th Annual Plein Air Competition Exhibit. In June, 28 painters captured scenes throughout the Village and along the Towpath Trail entering 34 paintings of our area in the exhibit. Some of these places may have been visited by the Peninsula Python!

*Cryptozoological Creatures Excursion
Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad
Join CVSR on an excursion filled with fantastic tales of mysterious creatures said to roam throughout the Cuyahoga Valley and Northeast Ohio. Authors Ken Summers and Jeri Holland will share information about the many cryptozoological creatures from your own backyard. The 10:40 am departure from the Akron Northside Station will take you to Peninsula with an arrival of 11:20 am. You’ll be just in time to participate in the Peninsula Python Day events and activities including the Python Parade and Kazoo Band!
Tickets are $20 per adult, $15 for children (3-12).

*Python Platter Lunch
We invite all the python hunters to come to the G.A.R. Hall patio and enjoy a “Python Platter” lunch that is fun and affordable for the whole family. Come see Abraham Slincoln and Monty Python while you are at the G.A.R. Hall.
